Pay per click (PPC) advertising are the listings that you will see to the right hand side of the search engines 'natural' or 'organic' listings. The costs per click vary depending on the competition and popularity of each keyword that is targeted.

 

To run an effective campaign, the keywords must be chosen very carefully to ensure that the advert is as cost-effective as possible and attracts the right kind of traffic for your business. Regular management is necessary because the costs per click (CPC) will rise and fall on a regular basis dependent on competition levels. You may also find that certain keyword provide greater conversion rates than others, thus a constantly managed campaign will always be more effective.
